& The Trip The idea for the trip all started when Andrew asked Ben if he would be interested in taking a vacation during the summer of 2004. Andrew will be out of the Navy on June 1, 2004, and this trip is a way for us to spend some time together and celebrate. We both love baseball, especially the Cardinals, and we both love to roadtrip. This was a great way to do both. In fact, we had both always talked about taking a baseball trip and visiting a number of parks. This summer, the dream became a reality ... We watched 9 games (okay, we only went to 8, we just couldn't take another game with the fans in KC, especially sitting in the rain) and 12 teams over an 11 day period before returning home to Normal. Not including Ben's flight to LA, the trip covered over 3500 miles! |
